Trying to open attachment in email and it says it can't because: "This file does not have a program assigned with it for performing this action." Seems I will need wav.files within a .zip file. What do I do to get this attachment opened? |

Hello Monicamonica 1) OK the first thing you should do is save the file to your desktop or hard disk. 2) You now need to open the file which you have stated is a ZIP file. To do this you need to have a ZIP file opener. To open a zip file I would recommend downloading and installing a program called WinZip. It is a free download but you should register the program if you continue to use it (you can download it at www.winzip.com) after 21 days. Alternatively download JustZIPit from http://free-backup-software.net 3) Once you have installed one of these programs you will be able to open the zip file that you saved in part 1) To do this double-click on the file that you saved in part 1. You should then follow the instructions given with the program you downloaded as to how to EXTRACT the files (this is very easy and will be covered in their help files). If you let me know which program you have downloaded I can help you here if you have problems. 4) You should now have the files extracted from the .zip file that was sent to you. As you indicated these are .wav files they should play simply by double-clicking on them. 5) If they do not work you will need to open Windows Media Player on your PC. If you do not know where this is it should be on your Start Menu in the bottom left of your screen. | |

Haven't tried it all out yet, but much information was packed into the answer and the five stars are much earned. I will get back to you if anything goes awry. Thanks so much. |
