Hi mbhenry-ga, Thanks for your question. John Mays Worrell, Jr. was born in 1933. He's received all of his degrees from the University of Texas. These are a BA, his MD (1957), and a PhD in mathematics (1961). He evidently has kept a foot in both medicine and mathematics. Based on several web sites and the fact that he is listed in the AMA directory, I am confident that Dr. Worrell is very much alive. AMA Doctor Finder http://www.ama-assn.org West Texas Physicians Alliance http://www.mywtpa.com/WTPA_Board.htm The Students of R.L. Moore http://www.discovery.utexas.edu/rlm/prelimreport.html American Men & Women of Science, New Providence, New Jersey, 20th ed., vol. 7, 1998-99, p. 913. SEARCH STRATEGY "john worrell" "john m worrell" saw reference to MD searched AMA directory American Men & Women of Science I hope this answers your question. If you need additional information, please ask for clarification and I'll do my best to assist you. Regards, luciaphile-ga | |
