I'm trying to find the birth and death years for the mathematician
John Mays Worrell Jr. He was a student of R. L. Moore and obtained his
PhD from the University of Texas.

He's received all of his degrees from the University of Texas. These
are a BA, his MD (1957), and a PhD in mathematics (1961). He evidently
has kept a foot in both medicine and mathematics. Based on several web
sites and the fact that he is listed in the AMA directory, I am
confident that Dr. Worrell is very much alive.

Dr. Worrell's address in "American Men & Women of Science" matches up
with the address found for his office online and also for the American
Medical Association, the West Texas Physicians Alliance. Just to be
sure, I telephoned his office and spoke with his answering service.
