I don't think Faust wrote anything. He was a character created by the German writer Goethe (I think). His story was made into an opera by Massanet, entitled "Faust". |

Frederick Faust, using the pen name "Max Brand," wrote an amazing variety of literature: http://maxbrand-faust.com/history.html There are many other authors named 'Faust'. If you'd tell us more about what you need, you'll be more likely to get a good answer. |

Gounod wrote the opera "Faust," and the character Faust (Dr. Faustus) was around in folktales for a couple of centuries before Goethe wrote his drama. Apteryx |

Faust is a common German name; no doubt, there are many authors with that name. Literally, it means "fist," but it is understood to mean a freed man, i.e., one who has the right to raise his hand to take an oath or vote. |
