I am trying to download a picture of a sherwood magnum bcd, for use
with my ad on ebay, but all I am able to get is a webpage link that

this picture, pictures from webpages in general?

Greetings, datetree!

Can you detail the process you are currently using to try to save this
image? If you can post here the URL of the image, that would be
helpful, too.

Regards,

Dear Datetree,

In order to publish an ad in eBay you need to upload an image, not the
image's link in another site.

How to download - general
=========================

As a rule, it might be important to know, that some images are
copyrighted, and the fact that you *can* download them doesn't mean
that it is legal. It is well advised to consult with a site's
webmaster before using their images or graphics, especially if they
are unique to the site (in this case, I guess that you're looking for
a generic picture of the Sherwood Magnum, one that would have been
probably distributed with it at the beginning).

(1) Go on the image with your mouse.
(2) click on the right mouse click, and choose "save image".
(3) This would save the image to a place you choose in your computer.
(4) eBay would later ask to upload an image. You click on the button,
and choose the picture from the place where you saved it.

If you use Opera, you could also "drag" the image into a new browser
page, making it easier for you to link to it

How to find the picture:
-----------------------
Searching the web for Sherwood Magnum BCD yields 1,360 results of web
pages, but also 10 specific results on image search (search on
http://image.google.com):
http://images.google.com/images?q=sherwood%20magnum%20bcd&num=50&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi

Choose the image that fits you (black or blue), click on the picture,
and then click on " See full-size image.": that would lead you to the
image, and you could save it with your right mouse click.

Here are blue and black pictures for you that I found:
Black  - Dive Expressions
<http://www.diveexpressions.com/catalog/images/magnumbc.gif>
Blue - Westset
<http://www.wetset.com/Sherwood/silhouette.gif>

I hope this answered your question. Again, both the links above would
open in a new window on yoru Internet Explorer, but then you could use
the right-click to save them to your computer and to use them on eBay.

Please contact me if you need any further clarifications on this
answer before you rate it.

You might want to try and save the picture instead of downloading it. If the
right click hasn't been disabled you should be able to right click the
image and save it. Then you can add it to your eBay listing. However,
you should probably check with the webmaster first for permission to
use the image...

Good luck

Try downloading <a href="http://www.diveexpressions.com/catalog/images/magnumbc.gif">this</a>
link. You can right-click and "save as", if you like.
