I have a hp brio model ba-600 when I install a hard drive on the system It will not auto-install the drive. I have attempted to use both wester digital 40gb and maxtor 40gb drives and neither works. | |

You just have to use the factory software to use large capacity disk on older OS and computers. From Maxtor you should use the MaxBlast 3 at http://downloads.maxtor.com/_files/maxtor/en_us/downloads/maxblast3.exe From Western Digital you use Data Lifeguard v11.0 at http://support.wdc.com/download/dlg/dlgsetup11_win.zip |
