Gartner Group expects PC shipments to top 187 million units in 2004, a
13.9 percent increase over 2003. Last year, 50 million PC's were sold
in the US(150 mil world wide.) About half of those machines went into
homes; the remaining for businesses.

I need to know -- of the PCs sold for business use -- what percentage
was purchased for small business (NOT corporate) use?

This isn't exactly what you asked for, but I thought you might find it useful.

"Small businesses indicated they intend to go with the flow; 61.8
percent said they would replace desktop PCs this year and 37.8 percent
said they would replace aging laptops."
