I am looking for help with the word on a German trade mark "Schutz
Marke". It is in cursive and looks to be Bizififnoale or Biufilnoale
or something like that. Very difficult to make out. It is on the back
of a large copper bowl or platter. There is what appears to be an
eagle with a shield on its breast and a crown above its head in the
bowl.

Dear vtscubaguy,

Though I am German, that word puzzles me. Maybe you could make a
picture of the trade mark available online, so I could analyze the
text? I suspect that the cursive used is old German script which looks
unfamililar and easily leads to misinterpretation. Seeing it myself
may prove helpful.

Unfortunatley there is no feature that will allow you to post a photo
here or to send us one. You will need to post the pictures online
somewhere then return here and tell us what the links to the photos
are so we can examine them. If you don't already have some place to
post them there are a number of free space options out there where you
can post photos online temporarily.
