This web site http://www.2checkout.com/ was recommended to me. How can I know for sure that it is an honest, reliable, for real business that won´t rip me off? John, the little guy. |

Hi John, Thanks for your question...there are actually a few ways that you can be assured that you are dealing with an honest e-commerce site: 1. Start with the place you heard about it...is the person who recommended it to you reliable? (at least historically speaking) Asking them for a detailed description of their experiences with this company would definitely provide some insight. 2. The first thing I looked for when visiting the site was the Better Business Bureau (BBB) stamp of approval, and i did find it: http://www.bbbonline.org/cks.asp?id=101091010135618315 This provides assurance that this company meets all the standards of the BBB. More information can be found at the link above. 3. You generally want to know about the company/people behind the website. Skepticism can alway be eliminated by contacting the company directly before purchasing: http://www.2checkout.com/aboutus.htm 4. Make sure you read the details of any purchase that you make; this would include setup fees, taxes, or additional charges that you may not realize initially. Other than that, it seems to me that this operation is legitimate, but obviously it is your final decision. Its a matter of balancing the benefits received from dealing with an online site and a company with a physical existence. Hope that helps! answerguru-ga |
