Where can I find video of Masafumi Yamamori's famous catch in a 1981 game between the Hankyu Braves and the Lotte Orions (Japan League)? Video of the clip on the internet would be best. I have seen the clip on US television in past years, on different sports wrap shows. The catch is regarded as one of, if not the greatest, catches ever made. Yamamori, playing left field, ran up a chain link fence, stretched with his feet on the top bar(probably 8 feet up), caught the ball which was about 14 feet off the ground, turned and jumped down, all in the stride of a full run! I would like to have a copy of the clip because people don't believe me when I tell them about it. |

No video, but here's proof it happened: "In a game in 1981 he quickly climbed up to the top of left field fence, and catch the homerun ball. The photo of this tremendous play is displayed at Cooperstown." http://home.n00.itscom.net/kbt-t/yakyujo_pl/yahoobb_e.html |
