Hi,
There exist tools for removing the SimLock and reset the security code
to 0000. They generally require special cables and computer software
which could be expensive. I have found a unit being sold for around
25 euros ($31 US) + shipping which contains everything needed to
accomplish this. Does this answer your question? If so, I could find
you an answer with several merchants selling this product.

Best regards,
tox-ga

Hi coolcurrent4u-ga,

I have looked at a number of products geared towards your needs. Many
require special knowledge of phone software or hardware but I have
found one that is very simple to use.

It is available at:
http://www.multi-com.pl/index.php/en_US,details,id_pr,256.html
or
http://www.gsm-technology.com/index.php/en_US,details,id_pr,256.html

and it costs 25 euros. It will remove the SimLock on the phone and
will also reset the four-digit security code to 0000. All you need to
do is turn on your phone, plug in this unit and wait ten seconds.

If you would like another merchant located closer to where you live, I
would be glad to help. If you have any further questions, please
request a clarification before rating the answer so that I may help.

Cheers,
tox-ga

It happened to me more than once. Just call your provider and tell
them. They'll "open" it for you if you provided enough details that
they have in such cases. Alternatively, take it to a Samsung service
centre (if you want me to, I'll locate one for you) with your purchase
contract/ receipt and they'll probably could help you.

thanks politicalguru but i dont think this has to do with my service
provider. Users say there is a way (code) to reset the phone's
password. Can anybody help me with this code and how to use the code.

Politicalguru is absolutely correct!

Contact your Service Provider.

I believe the three people above might be thinking of a SIM lock,
which would require the assistance of the service provider in order to
obtain a PUK (personal unblocking code).

However, I think the person who asked the question is referring to a
phone lock, which is separate and would typically require the software
to be flashed to reset the code.

But again, Banana, this is a job for the Samsung service centre,
provided the customer presents a contract or receipt of the phone.
Because of the frequency of theft of cellular phones, I would doubt it
if this process is available to anyone, without proof of ownership on
the phone.

Politicalguru is absolutely correct, again!

Anyone who tries to modify the Flash Memory in a GSM mobile risks
damaging their phone and that would require a visit to an authorised
service centre.

Knowing 'a little' is just not good enough.

Why don't you simply contact your Service Provider?

Dear Cool Current 4 u,

As I noted before, there is a reason why these technologies are not
available to all, and it is not something you are supposed to do DIY.

Just go to your local Samsung Service Centre. I'll locate one for you
if you want me to.

Why pay $99.50 for something that you can (probably) get for less?
