I want a way to restrict access to the internet from my kids computer.
This is for web browsing only, don't worry about email, chat, etc.
However, I have never seen a way to do exactly what I want. WHAT I
WANT IS is to to not allow access to ANY domain unless I specifically
list it. For instance, I might only allow www.disney.com,
www.cartoonnetwork.com and www.tvland.com (and any pages on those
sites to be viewed. I don't care about filtering the content. Again,
If you were to type in www.cnn.com, then it wouldn't connect, because
it is not on "my list". The solution could be a product, or could
(better yet) simply be a setting on my computer. My kids are young
and unsophisticated, so I am not worried about them overriding it or
hacking it. Thanks.

A software firewall solution is fine, but again, I haven't found one
that does exactly that.

www.agnitum.com -free and pro versions
also filters ads
anyway i think such kind of restriction isn't very good, its better to
deny access topages containing keywords.

Hello;

You can do this without any extra software but IE.

1. Open "Internet Explorer"
2. "Tools > Internet Options"
3. Select "Content" Tab
4. Click "Settings" below "Content Advisor"
5. Click "Approved Sites"
6. Add your websites that you want to enable to here (www.disney.com
or any other website that you want)
7. Set/Change your password under "General" tab
8. Then when you enable it from "Tools > Internet Options > Content"
anyone need to enter password for other sites. So you can disable it
when you are using your computer. While you're leaving enable it.

Now everyone must have passwords for enter other sites.
I hope this helps.

Thank you
