Is there a way I can buy Sysco foodservice products for home use?
There are a few restaurant items that are supplied by them (frozen
food items, not equipment) that I'd like to order directly instead of
paying someone else to prepare/deliver them for me.

Was looking for something local or delivery. Most of the places you've
listed are major distribution centers that supply restaurants and
such. You need to be a restaurant to order directly from them, AFAICT.

SYSCO is a wholesaler, so typically one must be a business in order to
purchase from them directly.

However, if you were to canvass the chefs of the restaurants you
frequent, you are likely to find one who will order the product for
you and turn it over at a modest markup. The restaurant business is a
tough one, and the opportunity to turn a buck or two easily would
likely appeal to someone in your vicinity.

Due to liability issues, most foodservice distributors do not deliver
to residential addresses, not to mention a $300-500 delivery minimum.
The comment by chromedome-ga is the best approach - as long as its not
a chain restaurant, just as the owner of a local privately owned
restaurant to get a quote for whatever you want and pay the operator
in advance. They will be able to tell you their delivery day and you
can pick up your purchase from their regular foodservice delivery. It
helps if your frequent the restaurant as a customer!!! And if you
really want to buy on a regular basis, just call and have a rep
assigned to you. They will establish an account for "Will Call" only
and you can order and pick up your product at their warehouse without
a minimum order. Just say you have a small catering business and will
pay COD at the waresouse. COD means CASH not check for this type of
account.
