Dear jorgemendez002-ga;

Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting
question. There are a number of informative web sites where you can
find the definitions and explanations of a variety of payroll, income
and tax terms. Here are a few that I found especially complete, easy
to navigate, well done and easy to understand:

WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY GLOSSARY OF PAYROLL TERMS
http://www.wsu.edu/payroll/dyk/payterms.html

This portion of the site has Tax Terms, a tax calculator and many of
the necessary forms that can be downloaded (along with their detailed
instructions of course):

TAX TERMS

. . . . . . . . . . . .

PAYROLL AND BENEFIT SERVICES also has a very complete PAYROLL GLOSSARY
OF TERMS. There is even a printable version if you are inclined to
download the document to your own computer it isn?t entirely or simply
print the document off of paper.

INVESTORWORDS.COM also offers a nice glossary of accounting terms
bundled into a list in alphabetical order for your convenience. Just
click on the letter in the upper right-hand corner and you can see the
definitions and explanations of many financial related terms including
slang terms such as the phrase, ?write off?:

DOMINION SYSTEMS has another glossary that is conveniently set up so
all you have to do is click on the first letter of the term you are
interested in to see its definition. Very clean, very simple to use:

Or, if you prefer, you can browse their list of terms using this
list-oriented site:

Finally, here?s one the provides explanations and definitions of
financial terms familiar to investors, accountants, and human
resources personnel:

Below you will find that I have carefully defined my search strategy
for you in the event that you need to search for more information. By
following the same type of searches that I did you may be able to
enhance the research I have provided even further. I hope you find
that my research exceeds your expectations. If you have any questions
about my research please post a clarification request prior to rating
the answer. Otherwise, I welcome your rating and your final comments
and I look forward to working with you again in the near future. Thank
you for bringing your question to us.
