Howdy sirelvis-ga, The answer to your first question can be found on the Sydney Morning Herald web site. http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/10/27/1067103283340.html "In order to ease the burden on the poverty-stricken country, Australia also provided 3000 tonnes of feed and $A1 million to help defray the cost of taking the animals." 1. (c) $1,000,000 Even though one would think the second question would be easier to answer, it took some work to get it. The New Zealand Olympic Committee web page for the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics lists the events and athletes. http://www.olympic.org.nz/games.aspx?ID=166&GamesID=1 I went through each of the events and counted the female participants to get the total of 72. 2. (b) 72 If you need any clarification, feel free to ask.
