Did Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell, Quaker, (1821-1910) know
Dr. David L. Rogers, surgeon,
(1798-1877), Quaker , or his family?

I know he held the surgery chair at Geneva Medical College, NY, but
resigned in 1840 and that she attended and graduated from Geneva
Medical College 1847-49 and aspired to be a surgeon.

I am looking for evidence that she actually knew David L. Rogers or
one of his siblings or their children. I believe both families were
Quaker. I think the Rogers lived in Connecticut and later Long Island,
NY. Elizabeth Blackwell founded the New York Infirmary for Indigent
Women and Children, now New York Infirmary / Beckman down town
hospital and Quakers helped her get her early clientele.

Thank you,
