Are you saying there is just a photo on the stamp and nothing showing the price of the individual stamp? You could visit a local stamp dealer in your area or the website www.linns.com or look at a book about stamp values in your local library (the books contain photos of each stamp where you should be able to find an exact match with the stamp that you have). Good luck. 4KEITH (I'm NOT a GOOGLE Researcher) |

These might be "nondenominated" stamps. "Sometimes U.S. stamps are printed without a denomination because the U.S. Postal Service does not know well enough in advance what value the stamps will have. When the Postal Service seeks an increase in domestic postal rates, it must wait for a review and recommendation from the Postal Rate Commission, an independent agency of the federal government. Once a rate change plan is reviewed, the Postal Service may choose to put the new rate into effect very quickly. Therefore, it prints hundreds of millions of nondenominated stamps well in advance that it can sell at the new rate as soon as it goes into effect." http://www.linns.com/howto/refresher/nondenominated_20031222/refreshercourse.asp The page linked above contains pictures of nondenominated stamps issued by the United States. Many of them depict the American flag. |

The US has issued a lot of stamps showing the flag. All (or nearly all) were made in large quantities and have little "collector value." As unused stamps they are still valid for postage, and your best bet is probably to just use them on mail. If the stamps don't have a "value" printed on them, you can probably find the issue value using the links that others have provided. |
