Hello, and thank you for your question!

Your terms are listed below, translated into the official language(s)
for each country as stated by Ethnologue, Languages of the World

You're in luck. I stay in India. Just a comment about the Indian
languages. India'sofficial language is Hindi. "dhamki deyna" actually
means to scold/reprimand someone. However it is means to "hit
someone/something". khodna means to break open.

As far as machines are concerned, there is no specific term in these
languages. Many people know English, and the english terms are used.
The rural people understand the word bulldozer, but I'm not so sure
about excavator etc... They know only tractor, bulldozer, lorry etc...
They call excavators as 'bada machine', 'bada' meaning big.

Aditya2k,

Thank you so much for your insightful comment. Your comment will help
me with my school presentation. Your comments will help me understand
how an Indian would search for a machine on the web in India. Also,
the rural people only knowing bulldozer makes sense because some
machine types are used more according to the development needs of the
area.

Thanks,

Yikes...I just re-read my comment, and my typing looked sketchy.

"However it is means "...should be read as "However, it means"

I'd also like to stress on the fact that rural people have no access
to the internet. People who access the internet in India know English.
People not knowing English use the net only for sending mails in
Hindi, Telugu, Gujarati etc...

Soy un abogado chileno y puedo decir que la traducción es correcta,
excepto por bulldozer. Se usa la misma expresión inglesa en este país.

I am a Chilean lawyer and I can say that the translation is correct,
except for bulldozer. The same english expression is used in this
country.

I think that, for the translation into Spanish, in Argentina is more
used the word "cargadora de ruedas" o "pala cargadora de ruedas" que
"cargador de la rueda".

"Topadora" is perfect, although the term "tractor buldozer" is also
used.

Regards,
Tom
