Can anyone explain a macro to me in one word or less???

It depends on the context in which the term is being used.

Macro can mean "large", "long" or "inclusive".  For example
macroscopic means large enough to be seen with the eye.

If you are meaning in terms of computing the term means "a single
command that executes a series of commands".  For example, you may
have a small script on your computer that opens your email and
internet explorer when you log on.  This small script is a macro.

In one word or LESS???  Could do a picture I guess, but that's worth a
