During family history research,I've come across the name "BONDAREA".A
relative thinks it is linked to a home for children(similar to
Barnardo's).She recalled Bucknall in Stoke-on-Trent,but possibly
Staffordshire. Not 100% sure on the spelling. This possibly dates back
100 years or so.Any help please? |

Dear oatcakeman,
Would the sound of one of these place names resemble what you have in mind?
- Bond End
- Bonehill
- Boney Hay
Also, if you could give me the name of the person who lived in that
place then and the approximate year, I may be able to do some
research, though I can't promise that data is available.
Regards,
Scriptor

Further info for you, possibly may be BOUNDARY,this from a distant
relative in Canada! She also mentioned CHEADLE in Staffordshire. She
still believes there is a connection with an "institution".I believe
BOUNDARY maybe an area in Stoke on Trent,Staffordshire.CHEADLE is not
too far away. That's really all I have for you,any help
appreciated,thank you.

Another update for you,the person's name is James Thorley born 1830 so
the time in question would be his formative years 1830 to 1840? A long
time ago I know.

I tried to find Blondare thru various web sites but had no luck,so I
assumed it was an error in reading the transcript.I still feel a
connection with Boundary may be important, other than that I have no
more info.Thanks for your efforts.
