I would like to know the names of the parents for W.N.A. Hawthorn,
who was born 11/10/1818. He may be the illegitimate son of Samuel
Monday and Isabella Hawthorn (Neel). Looking for any information to
confirm whether this info is correct.

Where was he born?
What do the initials N. A. stand for?
Was he ever known to have married, if so--who and when?
Did he have children--if so, what are their names?

A few basic clues provided by you will help greatly with the research.

--His full name is William N. Alexander Hawthorn -- he added an 'e'
later to make it Hawthorne.
--He was married to Susan Wood Hawthorne.
--Children: Anne Rebecca (b. 6 Oct. 1849), Franklin Pierce (b. 16 Nov.
1852), Edward Wayne (b. 13 Sept. 1854), Newton (b. 28 June 1857), Will
Wood (b. 23 Jan 1862).
There is a reference County Court Minutes, Knox County, Tenn. Bk.
10-2 p.186: 6 January 1820, which may refer to William, his mother,
and his illegitimate status. Just not sure it is the right person.

I just wanted to suggest that you visit the website www.rootsweb.com
and post your query there.

Click on the MESSAGE BOARDS link, then in the "FIND A MESSAGE BOARD"
box, enter "KNOX COUNTY" and up will come a page of links, one of
which should be Knox County, Tennessee. Click on THAT link (in blue
letters) and it will take you to that message board where you post
your query. Working so long ago, usually there are local genealogical
researchers who can access those records and possibly assist you in
your quest for information. Good Luck!
