Hi,

I am trying to find academic literature (or articles summarising
academic literature) regarding the impact of stock prices on company
announcements such as company final reports, acquisition of new
business, half-yearly reports etc.

meabs24 - thanks for submitting your question!!

Typically, the literature tackles the impact of company announcements
on stock prices...and there are hundreds and hundreds of such papers.
Are you actually seeking the opposite - i.e. the impact of prices on
announcements?

thanks,
ragingacademic

meabs24 - one more question - are you interested in pointers to
articles/papers, or in the text of the papers themselves?

I ask because the vast majority of work is NOT available freely over
the Web...but I would be able to provide you with some references,
which you would then have to extract through your local library or a
local University.

thanks
