Is there a common border between Kazakhstan and Mongolia? If so how long is it? If not how far apart are these two countries at their closest point? Cheers Mongolia |

Dear Mongolia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia do not have a common border. The easternmost tip of Kazakhstan and the westernmost point of Mongolia are only 50 kilometers (31 miles) apart. See: The CIA World Factbook: Kazakhstan http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/kz.html NY Transfer's Maps: Map of Kazakstan (Caution! Huge image!) http://www.blythe.org/afghan-maps/kazakhstan_map.jpg Serach terms used: kazakhstan map http://images.google.de/images?hl=de&lr=&ie=UTF-8&imgsz=xxlarge&newwindow=1&q=kazakhstan+map&btnG=Suche Hope this answers your question!
