I need to get a picture of the economic landscape of Axle and
DriveShaft manufacturers for the passenger vehicle / light truck
segment (no heavy vehicle).
A home run answer would have the following information, addressing
axles separately from driveshafts:
1. A listing of the top OEM suppiers reflecting for each company:
sales, and market share for 1999-2003 by region (N.A., S.A., Asia
Pacific, Europe/Afr/India) and by major product type (e.g. half shaft
axles vs. beam axles). Also, for each of these competitors, any Gross
or Net margin information indicating the relative profitability of the
products and regions.
2. A schedule of major automotive platforms (e.g. Ford F150, BMW
5-series, etc.) supported by these suppliers.
3. The extent to which these suppliers also manufacture rather than
just assemble the products (e.g. a sales breakout reflecting
Manufacture Only, Assemble Only, Manufacture and Assemble)
Please only take this question if you have some general familiarity
with car anatomy as well as comfort with accounting data and digging
through 10-K's. |
