Sometime in the last 25 years, Time magazine created a photocomposite
of the races in America into one young woman's face. It is considered
a classic. What is the date of that Time Magazine cover?

Hi fyodor,

The Time magazine cover you remember is a Special Issue dated Fall 1993.

"...a special issue of Time magazine on the subject of "American
Diversity" (Fall, 1993), which addresses "...the promise of the
future: An America that's the world's first truly international
nation" (a contradiction in terms), discusses intermixture but not its
destructive consequences. On its cover is a hypothetical face of a
racially-mixed woman (produced not by genetics, but by a computer
process called "morphing") with the caption "the new face of
America..."

"In the fall of 1993 Time magazine published a special issue on "The
New Face of America: How Immigrants Are Shaping the World's First
Multicultural Society." The cover picture was a composite of a
beautiful young woman with features blending the several various
racial groups which make up American society..."
