I would like to get a comparison between the Waste King Model SS8000
and the Insinkerator Model 777ss garbage disposals in terms of
effectiveness, quality of manufacture and quietness.  If I cant get
those specific models I would like to have a comparison of the two
brands.

The models you have selected for comparison are very close in features

Insinkerator has stainless steel components and stainless steel
grinding chamber.

It seems you will be happy with either of these top of the line
garbage disposals.  Home Depot carries ISE at $183 while the Waste
King is carried more by specialty shops (according to newsgroup
information) at about the same price.  Waste King seems to be a bit
more specialized but the ISE is certainly a fine brand...Waste King
comes with a lifetime guarantee while the ISE appears to be a 7 year
warranty.
