One possibility is the so-called "Emerald Coast" of Florida. This is
the gulf coastal region beginning at Panama City and extending
southward to about Cedar Key. Much of this area is completely
undeveloped, and until very recently coastal land could be bought for
a song.

There are some major developments going on in this area now, some of
them are world famous, like the town of Seaside (made famous by the
Prince of Wales when he did a television show on the architecture
there). But there is still a lot of value to be had in the area,
especially when you consider the prices just a few hundred miles
south.

The St. Joe Company is a major landholder in the area, and they are
embarking on several major development projects over the next few
years.

As the population of Florida continues to expand this area will
continue to boom. Check it out.
