albaghli... You seem to be asking, "Is it true that people are selling the Nokia 9500 on Ebay?" Since you note that you "saw many people selling this item on ebay", it would seem that you already know it is true that the phones are being sold there. Therefore, I can only assume you are essentially asking "Is this for real? Are the prices to be believed and the sellers trusted?" In short, yes. You can examine the reliability of the seller by the number of ratings they have displayed on the sale page, along with the % of positive ratings. You should also be careful to read all the terms of the sale, in which case you will see that the value of the current bid, especially on a new posting, does not reflect what the item will finally sell for. Searching Ebay for NOKIA 9500 produces this page of auctions: http://search.ebay.com/nokia-9500_W0QQfromZR8QQsokeywordredirectZ1 For example, on the following page, angel-us21 has 188 instances of feedback, which are 98% positive, so you can be reasonably confident they are trustworthy. The initial bid is 3 GBP, or about US $5.36. The seller sets the initial bid, and there have been 0 additional bids. It is a 3-day auction, and it is half over. Notice that they have titled the auction 'Nokia 9500 Best Cellphone!!!Only 250 EURO/piece', which means they have probably set up a 'reserve' or the minimum bid which will result in a sale, and set it at 250 EURO, so the phone will not be sold for less. Also, by specifying 250 EURO/piece, it seems clear that they have more than one phone available. The seller in this case has asked you not to use the link to "Ask seller a question", and has provided their email address on the page. If you look closely at the email address when you mouse over it, you will see that it is malformed, so you can't just click the link to the email address, or it will be incorrect. You will have to remove the : which has erroneously been included at the beginning of the name in the email address. You could email the seller and ask if they have as many as 50 phones for sale. You might even work out a bulk price by buying in that quantity: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2234&item=6900500300&rd=1 In another auction, ace_te is selling 'New Nokia 9500 NEVER USED' with a 'Buy It Now' price of only $13. If you read the page, they are actually not selling the phone itself, but information on how to obtain the phone, worth $500, for about $40. The feedback indicates 29 ratings at 100% positive. This seems good, and you can also review the ratings here: http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=ace_te You will notice that one reviewer says "good information", which makes it seem likely that this customer bought the 'secret' on how to obtain the phone cheaply, and was happy with the information he obtained. As to whether this same information would satisfy your interest in obtaining 50 pcs, I can't say, but you could always contact the seller, by clicking on the link which says "Ask seller a question". The auction page is here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=64355&item=5701428264&rd=1 On yet another auction, bignob8ins, who also set a 'reserve' has had that reserve met, and the current bid on the phone is GBP 650.00, or approximately US $1,162.01. They have only 1 instance of feedback, which was 100% positive. This is no doubt a higher price than you want to pay, but it gives a good indication of what some people are willing to pay for this particular phone. I hope I have understood the point of your question correctly, and have provided you all you need to pursue this purchase effectively on Ebay. I too have been searching for the mythical 9500, and have been pummeled by scammers in, or using IP's in Romania. As to trusting history, one I had high hopes for, because of the bid was just cancelled with this message: Please be aware that auction:5710780664 -Nokia 9500 Communicator - Nokia 6230 has been ended early and your bid has been cancelled. Please note that we have recently ended all listings for the seller bosbeckas it appears the account has been compromised and used by an unauthorized third party. The seller's privileges to trade on eBay may be temporarily suspended while we investigate this matter further. |

albaghli... I just now noticed your comment of 24 May, due to weaselbuddha's comment bringing your question to the top of my list of answered questions. Your original comment, having been made the same day as my answer, went unnoticed, since the question was already at the top on that day, and researchers are not notified of new comments. Had you posted your remarks in a Request for Clarification, the question would have been flagged for my attention. Your comment poses a different question than the one I answered, and had that been in the original question, I wouldn't have attempted to answer it, since I just don't know the answer. I know that some people who sell on eBay have access to lower prices on new items because they have an 'in' with the company, and are able to buy them at a discount. A former neighbor, e.g. worked for Macintosh, and could get a significant discount on laptops. Also, my understanding is that some companies almost give away new products to employees for the sake of receiving feedback on how well they function. I don't know if this might be the case with the Nokia 9500, or, if it is, as weaselbuddha suggested, a scam being perpetrated by Romanian fraud artists. Your best bet might be to post a new question so that the whole pool of researchers will have access to it. This one, being an answered question, is not visible to them unless they look for it. sublime1-ga |

ALL EBAY Nokia 9500 sales are hacked accounts. ALL. Nokia has not even released this phone for sale to the public. |

Yes sure. Buying Nokia 9500 thru EBAY is making donation to Romania or even Italy. I spend almost $ 500 and never received that phone. Somebody is probably laughing on my addres. Prices around $ 200 - $ 300 are not true. Price for new Nokia 9500 in the stores is around $ 1000. Good Luck for buying Nokia 9500 for $ 200. |
