we have a print which we love.  We would welcome any background you
could provide such as where the subject of the picture was, where the
paining is now and if it is available to the public.  Any  comments
byMr Schlicht regarding the pinting of the picture would be
appreciated. Our children have admired our copy for twenty years and
one of them will surely inherit it after we are gone.

Researchers get 75% of the Question fee; while I can't speak for other
Researchers, I usually allot an hour or so per $10 of fee.

Could the last name be Schmid?

We took the name from the signature on the print,  It is possible that
the i is an e but the other letters are clear.
