K-Order Voronoi Diagrams tessilation of the plane into regions such
that points in each region have the same k closest sites.
I need applications in different disciplines of sciences e.g.
astronomy, biology, GIS, anthropology etc. that use  "K-order voronoi
diagram" for K > 1.
In other words Motivate the need for k-order voronoi diagram for k > 1. 
Please give details regarding the applications. 

 There is lot of litreature on web regarding "1-order voronoi
diagram". I do not  need any info regarding that.
