I am using AutoDesk Map 2004. Release 2004.0.0. SP1 installed. I
formerly was able to use Word as my test editor. However, I can not
use Word as my editor. I know how to change the settings. The same
problem has occurred on 2 computers. Someone suggested that the change
could have been caused by an XP Pro upgrade. How can I restore the
ability to use Word as my test editor in AutoDesk Map 2004? ($20.00)

Change the "MTEXTED" system variable to "C:\program files\microsoft
office\office\winword.exe" assuming this is the path to winword.exe
on your computer.
