I am visiting Memphis this weekend with a group of girlfriends (all
mid-20s) and am having a very difficult time finding
stuff to do. We know we are going to Beale Street and Graceland on
Sunday, but I am having trouble finding stuff for Saturday. We had
initially planned on hanging out at the hotel pool during the day on
Saturday but just found out that the pool will not open until NEXT
weekend. Ideally, we would like to find another outdoor pool to use
during the day -- and we'd be willing to pay for a daypass or guest
fee -- but I cannot find any. This weekend is just for fun and
relaxing, so I don't think anyone would want to do anything
educational like visit museums or the zoo, for example. Also, I would
like to find a restaurant/bar/club to go to Saturday night which would have
a fun, modern atmosphere. I have visited a lot of websites about
Memphis but nothing has been too informative -- for example, those
that list restaurants did not provide reviews. Therefore, could you
suggest activities (or websites that could discuss such activities)
for Saturday during the day (preferably something involving water -- a
community pool, a waterpark, etc.) and Saturday evening (a fun, young
restaurant with interesting food and/or a bar or dance club which
plays today's music)? Again, direct suggestions or websites that
contain such information would be appreciated. Thanks. |
