Greetings, caro!

I can provide you with some information regarding this historic
property; however, can you tell me what you already know?

Regards,

aceresearcher

I can give you the most recent previous owner of the historic property
(i.e., the party from whom the current owners purchased it in 2001).
Since this party is a charitable foundation of a locally prominent
family, this information does not establish who were the most recent
"occupants" of the house. As aceresearcher-ga notes in an earlier
clarification request, it would be helpful to know a little more about
what you are looking for.

Apologies for not being clear. Ideally I would like a list of all
previous owners of 609 Oronoco St., Alexandria, going back to when the
house was first built, around 1790. I believe it was built as a twin
to its neighbour, the boyhood home of Robert E. Lee. Old drawings or
photos and information about how the house has changed over the years
would also be of great interest. Are there any books on Federal
Houses in which it's listed for example?

There is no answer at this time.

Thanks for your clarification. One of the online references to the
property indicates that it has "changed hands many times."

The house has built well over 200 years ago, and finding its complete
chain of ownership will probably require finding the right specialized
offline source.
