I am looking for the name of a song, I dont have a lot to go on, but a
few stupid facts that may help.
The song lyrics (if they are even correct) for the chorus, is something like
outta my heart,.. and into my head
.....take me to avalon... It's a top 40 ish song played not too long
ago maybe about a year. Sounds like John Mayer almost... and it was
playing yesterday on a demo cd at compusa. Not sure if that helps but
it's worth a shot...

No I am sorry, thats not it.

I'm pretty sure you're looking for David Gray's "Babylon" from the
White Ladder album.  Stores really like that one cause it's peaceful,
has neat guitars/drums.

The lyrics in question:

"Let go your heart
Let go your head
And feel it now
Babylon, Babylon"

BarnesNNobles has a clip, but unfortunately it doesn't even hit the
chorus.  But yeah, you'll probably recognize the (slurred) singer's
voice, and the drums.
