Perhaps "The President's Lady" (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0046204/)
or "The Gorgeous Hussy" (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0027690/)?

Movies from the 30's to 50's with Andrew Jackson include:

Abe Lincoln in Illinois (1940 - more about Lincoln, obviously)
The Man Without a Country (1937 - actually a short, but it's been
played on TCM a few times recently so you might have caught it)
The Gorgeous Hussy (1936 - A very MGM melodrama)
The Remarkable Andrew (1942 - my vote as most likely as it's
specifically about Jackson - or rather the ghost of Jackson)
Man of Conquest (1939 - more about Sam Houston than Jackson)
The Buccaneer (1958 - Charlton Heston plays Jackson)
The Buccaneer (1938 - Same story, different flick)
The President's Lady (1953 - Heston again plays Jackson)

If you can add more info, I can narrow it down from there easily enough.
