I've been looking for a dojo that teaches Zui Quan (also known as
"drunken boxing") for a while, however so far I've had no luck, what
I'd be looking for is a dojo that teaches a stand alone style of Zui
Quan, in other words, not some style with a drunken form incorporated
into it, the only actual style of it that I know of is called "eight
drunken immortals", I would appreciate any assistance in finding a
dojo, the closer to Hartford, CT the better, however I'm willing to
travel.

This is just for the others that read this
question. Some interesting pages:

http://www.drunkenboxing.s5.com/
http://www.angelfire.com/art/Shaolin/drunken.html
http://physics.ucsd.edu/~ostrick/Hands.html

And for chloed-ga... is Atlanta too far away :-)

Maybe they can tell you where to find one nearer.
I can ask them if you like.

Ooops, I should have read that atlanta one
more. They list one in Penn.

They were also listed on this list (no Conn addresses)

This place in Fla specifically mentions the
Eight Drunken Immortals also. Maybe they would
know a closer location?

Hi AI

Yes, if you could ask them if they know of any dojos that teach the
stand-alone style of eight drunken immortals (or another drunken
style) (like I said in my question, not a form within another style)
that would be great!

Thanks very much for your help.

Well I contacted someone and they were supposed to
email me back info regarding any schools in the CT
area. They never did. They were from the:
http://www.shaolin-do.com/
The FLA phone #. Penn seems to be the closest place
currently. I will contact them when they are back
from the holidays and see if they know of someone
closer, and I will inquire about the stand-alone
style.

According to at least one source
(http://www.usadojo.com/aboutdrunkardboxing.htm), there is no
stand-alone style --
"'Drunken Boxing' is an enigma in Chinese Martial Arts. There is no
stand alone 'Style' of Drunken Boxing; this is only in the movies.
Only a few systems have a true 'Drunken Boxing' set and that set is
usually the System's most guarded secret. Choy Li Fut is one such
system."
