I am trying to find a source of toner powder to refill black and color
cartriges for my Panasonic DP-CL21 laser printer. I believe it to be
similar to KX-CL500 series. At least it looks similar. I can find
plenty on "color cartriges" at $68.00 and black at $24.00 but no
actual powder for refilling.

This printer does not have a complex toner cartridge like most, it is
simply four long boxes of powder, no rollers, etc. I have successfully
emptied remnants of one into another with no "chip problem". I don't
believe it has a chip.

Panasonic is not the least bit interested in selling toner powder;
they make their money on whole cartidges.

Be careful!

It's not as easy as it looks ... many cartridge are 'chipped' to
inhibit users from doing precisely what you propose.
