Why doesn't Florida allow BlackJack? (Land based). I understand that indians (or native americans) are allowed to conduct activities tax-free. This doesn't change the laws (ie, allow illegal activities to go untaxed). So Bingo is legal, correct? And the seminoles only do it because they can turn a profit, because of their tax-free status? (First question, confirm that Bingo and Slots are legal for everyone). Second question, why is blackjack illegal? I guess I just want to know 1) what's the legal relationship btw. native americans and gambling and 2) what's so special about blackjack that we can't have it in FL? |
