Dear Jaydeepshah,

I believe I misunderstood your question.

Please clarify if by "Georgia state," you meant the former Soviet
state named Georgia or did you mean the State of Georgia in the U.S.

If I gave you the wrong information, please do not rate this answer. I
will get in touch with the editors and request the removal of this
answer. Another researcher will then be able to locate the correct
information for you.

Thank you

No I meant state of Georgia in US only. Answer looks good with some
good info, I need more data in imports and local industries. I have
been to georgia.org site but it does not talk about industry spectrum
in Georgia, for example 25% IT, 10% manufacturing 3% agriculture etc.
In short I am looking at over all picture I am not interested in
details of a particular industry. Also if some more info on trade with
India can be provided then its good. If you dont think you can provide
dont worry I will still rate your answer nice and give you money.

Imports Also Important to Georgia

?While exports generate clear benefits for the Georgia economy (jobs,
wages, expanded tax base, etc.), the role of imports is less
clear?especially since no import statistics are available for states
on an end-user basis. Although many often equate imports with ?lost?
jobs, the reality is usually much more complex. For example, there is
no doubt that imports supply critical inputs for many of the goods and
services produced in Georgia, including products destined for export.
Imports often play a key role in ensuring supplies of vital materials
that are either scarce or simply not available domestically. More
generally, imports provide consumers and businesses in Georgia with
wider choice in the marketplace, thereby enhancing living standards
and contributing to competitiveness.?

?The state?s leading export category is computers and electronic
products, which alone accounted for 22 percent?more than one-fifth?of
Georgia?s total exports in 2000. Other top manufactured exports are
transportation equipment; machinery; chemicals; paper products; and
electrical equipment, appliances, and parts.?

There is a lot of relevant information regarding exports in the following document.
