Street Lamps in Italy.
I want a computer picture of a certain type of street lamp in Italy.
They are probably in a city and possibly on a bridge. I think each is
a cluster (possibly 3) of globes with ornate metalwork. I believe I
saw them in a travel brochure. |

Hello shred,
Thank you for your question.
Its hard to be totally sure of the type of lamp image you are seeking
from your description so I am posting this as a clarification request
rather than a definitive answer. If any of these fit your need, I
would be happy to post as an official answer. If not, perhaps you can
describe the lamp you seek in a little more detail and I and other
researchers will continue to search for you.
Here are a number of images that may include the style you seek:

Hello Clouseau,
So far none of your suggestions match the desired lamp.
I am going to try and send you a scanned hand sketch of the lamp drawn
from memory. It is a tif file named lamp.tif which I find I can open
by double clicking on my pc.
It's now half an hour since I wrote the above paragraph and I have
been unable to find how to attach the file, this Google answers site
seems very limited or else poorly documented. If you would let me
know how to attach the file I will send it as soon as possible
Regards

Hi shred,
Unfortunately, Google Answers does not provide the facility to
communicate in anything other than plain text. But you can post your
image on the Web and post the link here and we will then be able to
view it. There are numerous free sites that host digital images
available to you. Simply create a free account, upload your image,
post a link here in the clarification.

Hello Clouseau,
Thank you for the information. I have done as you suggested and posted
my sketch at the following address

It is interesting to note that the limited facilities of Google
Answers enabled me to learn something about image posting on the
internet!

Good work, shred!! In the future, you might wish to save the image as
a .jpg as opposed to a .tif. This way, it will open right in a browser
window. You can also save it as less than the 300 DPI (dots per inch)
of this image if it is intended for viewing on a monitor instead of
printing.
But,that being said, this is a difficult image to find. But I am on it
and shall report my findings as soon as I can.
Best,

Hello shred,
Just thought i would report in. I have been able to turn up no images
for you and even had a friend in bosa, Italy search sites in Italian
with no luck. Even though your drawing looks familiar, it appears this
is a difficult image to find.
Hopefully another of our researchers might have better luck for you.

Hi Clouseau (I guess it comes from Inspector Clouseau i.e. Peter Sellars),
If you are bowing out now, thanks for your efforts. I don't know the
routine for this but I would be happy for you to have half the $10 and
for me to bump the fee back up to $10 for the next researcher.

Shred,
Thanks so much for your thoughfulness, but not necessary at all. I
shall continue to look as, I am sure, other researchers. Please save
the fee for someone that is able to provide the image you require.
Best,

shred-ga, (and for that matter, clouseau-ga!)
While researching another question entirely, I came across this
picture and thought of you:

Is that lamp in the foreground what you're after? If so, wish it was
a better picture (of the lamp...it's a great picture, in general).

Pafalafa-ga,
Similar, but not the one. Thanks for trying.
