I had a Paul Klee that was a line drawing of a bare tree with letters
attached to the branches. A flood lost information on the work and
Lunn Galleries from whom I bought it in 1980 is closed as Mr. Lunn
died. I should really appreciate help. |

Hello marne-ga,
Can you tell us a bit more about what type of help you are looking for
regarding your Klee drawing? Are you simply in need of basic
information about the drawing -- title, when drawn, etc? Or is there
something else you hope researchers can provide? In particular, what
can you tell us about the book that the picture originally came from?
The more you can tell us about what, precisely, you need, the better
we can focus our research efforts.
Thanks.

Hello, Pafalafa-ga,
The lithograph was a page from a book published about 1915 or
thereabouts. I paid $500 for it 20 or so years ago. I do not know
the name of the book, only that the lithograph is in Klee's catalog
raisonne. I do need all the basic informtion and if possible its
value so that I can tell my insurance company. I assume the Lunn
Gallery bought as a piece from a rare book.
Thanks for answering, Marne-ga

Hello again, marne-ga,
There wouldn't happen to be a number of some sort, either in the
corner of the drawing, or on the back? If so, please let me know what
it is.
Thanks.

Just wondering...have you had a chance to look at the link I posted a
few days ago (above). It would help to know if your picture bears
much resemblance to this one.
Thanks.

It is closest to the first drawing. It is a single tree, rather like
a Christmas tree with no needles, just letters hanging on it. Sorry,
I took so long to answer, but I just switched to broadband and
computer was out of commission! I wish I knew if there were a number
on the page or any other information.
