I have bought a tin toy truck crane with clockwork mechanisms. It is
about 18" in length with a boom about 24" long.I would guess the truck
was made in the mid 1930's,due to the streamlined art deco type look
of the truck. It is red in
color with small white flecks in the paint, almost like a metal flake paint.
The tires are metal balloon type with the words "Made in France" in
raised letters.
There are several clockwork systems to probably slew the body & also to propel
vehicle .I have the original box,but can find no makers name due to possible
water damage over the years. There is a very good image of the crane
truck on both sides in red.The words above the truck picture simply
state "Tractuer Grue".
I would appreciate any knowledge of where & when the truck was made.I
would also appreciate an estimate of value if possible. The truck is in
C6-8 condition & is being repaired by an expert in Tin Toy repairs.
