Are you interested only in finding a full-length biography of her, or
would pointing you to a website (in English) devoted to providing
links to information, including much biographical information, about
this queen be a sufficient answer?

I should amend my previous clarification request to note (after
further review of the site I have in mind) that the biographical
information in English on the site is limited to several links to
summaries of her life that run only only four or five paragraphs each.

I have also found two used copies of a rather rare full-length 1906
English-language biography of her that are available for sale online.
The price of each of those books is between $100-150.

i would like to know where that book is as i could buy it come the
incometax season when i become temporarily rich but $100-150 is out of
my reach at the moment. i have read the fictional diary Desiree and
when compared to the sites i could find it was almost factually
totally correct. i would like a like find more on the web. it was a
shock to find out she and her family were real. i loved the novel. it
got me through highschool. most of what i find refer to her son and
husband. so if all you got for me is a list of links and where i can
find the book. it will work. i can find lots of stuff in swedish but i
am an american and at best pick out a few words of spanish i know
therefore swedish is beyond me.
clarification answer is i would like both unless you have a better idea

Thanks for your clarification. The site I referenced in my
clarification request is at this link:
Nebula5: Désirée
http://www.nebula5.org/clary/person.html

As I noted in my clarification request, much of the information linked
to at this site is also in Swedish or German, but it does contain
links to some English-language biographical information about Queen
Desideria; for example, here:
Historical Figures
http://www.histofig.com/history/empire/personnes/france_clary_en.html

And here:
Lulea University: A Bit of Swedish History
http://www.luth.se/luth/present/sweden/history/queens/desideria/

Also here:
Napoleonic Guide: Désirée Clary
http://www.napoleonguide.com/desiree.htm

And, finally, here:
Find A Grave: Desiree Clary "Desideria" Bernadotte
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=7814609&pt=Desiree%20%27Desideria%27%20Bernadotte

Most important, this site contains this reference to the 1906
English-language biography of Queen Desideria by the proprietor of the
site:
"I have acquired a copy of A Queen of Napoleon's Court, a biography of
Désirée Bernadotte by Catherine Bearne, published in 1906. It's
evident that Annemarie Selinko used this book as a source (other
likely sources include the memoirs of Laure Junot and Hortense de
Beauharnais). When time permits, I'll include a summary of some of the
more interesting sections of this book."

This reference led me to search for copies of that book that might be
available for sale online. I found two, and here is a link to the
listing on Bookfinders.com, that includes both copies. One is offered
for $113 and the other for $145:
Bookfinder.com: Search Results
http://www.bookfinder.com/search/?author=&title=queen+of+napoleon%27s+court&submit=Begin+Search&new_used=*&currency=USD&mode=basic&st=sr&ac=qr

Since you indicate that these prices are a little beyond your budget
right now, you may want to keep handy the address of Bookfinders.com
( http://www.bookfinders.com ) and consult that site again when you
have the money to spend. To find a book, you go that site and simply
enter the author's or the books name in the search box.

Search Strategy:

I found the site devoted to the novel Désirée with the following Google search:
queen sweden 1829
://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=queen+sweden+1829

I found the book-length biography by using Bookfinder.com, a site that
I often use to find used books for sale.

Based on your clarification, I am confident that this is exactly the
information you are seeking. If anything is unclear, please ask for
clarification before rating the answer.
