Hello Churros,

I found a similar phrase to the one you?re seeking.

Para conocer el futuro, basta sentarse frente a una hoja en blanco
para predecirlo. Imaginar no es más que descubrir nuevas posibilidades
de lo real. Todo lo que el hombre imagine puede hacerse real;
cualquier cosa que se escriba, por el mero hecho de haber sido
imaginada, es ya una realidad.

I can provide you with the name of the author of this phrase and the
title of the book where it comes from.

Would this information meet your needs?

Thanks,
Bobbie7

Hello Bobbie7,
I saw the phrase in an ad while I was in Mexico. I am tryin to
establish its origin and if the phrase is in the popular culture of
Mexico.

My phrase seems to be a distillation of the one that you found. Is the
origin of the phrase in Spanish? Thanks.

I agree that your phrase is a distillation of the one that I found as
the author of my quotation is a famous writer and filmmaker who has
lived in Mexico for many years. The origin of the phrase is Spanish as
I found it in an excerpt of one of his books. Unfortunately, I don?t
know if your phrase is in the popular culture of Mexico.

Would you like me to post what I have as the answer to your question?

Thanks,
Bobbie7

Hello again Churros,

The phrase that I located comes from the book ?Antología pánica? by
Alexandro Jodorowsky, Editorial Joaquín Mortiz, Mexico, 1996.
Alexandro Jodorowsky was born in Chile in 1929 and lived in Mexico and
France for many years.

Here is the excerpt from Antología pánica.

Antología pánica (fragmento)
Alexandro Jodorowsky

de lo real. Todo lo que el hombre imagine puede hacerse real;
cualquier cosa que se escriba, por el mero hecho de haber sido
imaginada, es ya una realidad.?

?El cerebro únicamente puede imaginar lo que es real.?

Greetings, churros!

The English translation of this phrase is:
"Your future is a blank page. What will you write on it?"

Variations on this phrase have permeated the English language for
years, possibly decades, and it is in quite common usage:

In English, it seems to be one of those oft-repeated phrases which has
been around so long and is so commonly-referenced, no one really knows
for sure to whom the quote should be credited.
