thanks for your info -- but i'm not looking for stocks traded on the US exchanges; i'm looking to invest in stocks traded on the iraqi exchange. |

i.e. looking to profit from long-run enterprise in Iraq, not from the war itself. |

Extrepid -- About 15 years ago, when it was clear that the U.S.-led coalition would be going to war with Iraq over the Kuwaiti invasion, Forbes did an article on the moribund Baghdad Stock Exchange. One gentleman perservered in operating it, even though there were no trades on many days. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the article in an Infotrac search. It seems that the real opportunity would be to establish a stock exchange in Iraq. Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |
