Does anyone know of a way of determining or estimating the number of page impression a particular website gets each day/week/month/year? The background: I have been asked by a company to estimate the number of impressions their website will get when they launch a new service next year. I am hoping that by analysing the hit rate experiences of their competitors I will be able to guage the existing market size from which I can make some market share assumptions. The obvious answer is "ask the webmaster". Alas this is not an option. The competition will not tell me anything. Even if you just an idea for guessing the hit rate, that would be a help. Thanks. dghn |

You could use the site's Alexa ranking to estimate the number of hits: http://www.marketing-strategy.info/alexachart.html More on Alexa, in case you aren't already using their services: http://pages.alexa.com/prod_serv/data_services.html |
