Okay, Steve, I think we're going to be able to get the DNS pointers
straightened around for you, one way or another!

Here is the primary contact information for Neustar from a search of
the records on ICANN's site (ICANN is the organization which oversees
the administration of all World Wide Web registries):

"On August 1, 2002, NeuStar?s principal address will change to:
46000 Center Oak Plaza
Sterling, Virginia 20166 USA
+1 571.434.5400 (telephone)
+1 571.434.5401 (fax)

Checking their website's sitemap:

We find a section on the .us registry:
"Internet Registry Services

Clicking on that link to Neustar's administrative site for the .us registry:

We find a "WhoIs" lookup functionality for the us. domain, and
plugging in "" yields the following information:
Loudoun Tech Center
45980 Center Oak Plaza
Sterling, VA 20166"

So the first thing you should try is to immediately send an e-mail to
explaining that you need your DNS pointer for the address changed to point to .

If you don't receive a response from them by the end of the week, then
you can try calling Neustar at:
+1 888 437-4328 (toll-free)
or at the number shown above:
+1 571.434.5400 (8:00am to 5:30pm, M-F).
(I checked these numbers, and they are valid)

Explain to the person who answers the phone that you have not received
a response to your e-mail request for support, and they should be able
(and willing) to direct your call to someone who can assist you.

As a backup, I've located some other numbers you can try if necessary:

1-571-434-5757 (telephone)
1-571-434-5758 (fax)

Interesting, so siomebody thought that a personal page would be a good
use of the school's old address. The domain registrar has nothing to
do with links to your page. That is the responsibility of the sites
linking to it.

I'm not worried about the links to the page. Nor do I care about the
current content. I want to change the DNS entry so that it points to
the correct IP address, but to do that, I have to contact whoever
controls the domain/DNS for
