Hi woerock,

I have found a list of suppliers of theatrical fabrics, all of which
are ?fireproofed? according to the following ratings:
FP - Flameproofed
IFP - Inherently Flameproofed

Most of the suppliers on the list below will supply you with sample
swatches, if you like.

Since none of the theatrical fabric suppliers carry ?velveteen?, but
they do carry ?Velour?, I?m wondering if you actually meant ?Velour?.
I do quite a bit of sewing, and have found that many people
interchange the names ?Velveteen?, ?Velvet? and ?Velour?. I have also
found the same to be true with ?Lycra? . Lycra is DuPont?s trade name
for Spandex. Most of the sites on this list do carry Spandex fabric,
as well as Sharkstooth.

Hi woerock,

I'm sorry my answer is not what you were after. Your original
question stated "I am after a supplier be it a manufacturer or
supplier of a wide
fabric which is fire rated." which led me to understand you wanted
suppliers, or manufacturers.

At least one of the companies I listed in the original answer IS a
manufacturer, and that is:

Associated Fabrics Corporation
104 East 25th Street
New York, NY 10010
Tel: (212) 689-7186
Fax: (800) AFC-4077

Email: info@afcnewyork.com
http://www.afcnewyork.com/core.html

I will be happy to research now for more manufacturers for you. I
will probably have the answer by tomorrow evening.

Where are you located? City and country is all I'll need to know.

 Regards,
crabcakes
