Question ID: 355235
After buying two sets of disks that looked like they would cover the
E23 1977 BMW 733i just to find out the Tappet settings and finding
they didn?t. I have decided to ask google. Someone out there must
know. What are the tappet settings for an E23 1977 BMW 733i. A screen
capture of the right set of disks or a email listing them anything
that would do the job.

Hey, sorry no one has poked at your question. I doubt what you are
looking for exists on the internet. However, there is hope if you
haven't already found a solution.

Here are some sites that might help:

Free demo from http://www.powerbits.net/ Or you could buy and return
the product, since it seems a bit cheesy.

Alternatively, you could go beg a dealer or specialty mechanic for a
peek at the service manuals. Chances are, someone will let you if you
ask around.

If you want to purchase service manuals, the two volume set is about
$170-$200. See: http://www.books4cars.com/search.asp?findmake=BMW&offset=300
http://www.motorbooks.co.uk/showsect.asp?id=274 (UK)
http://www.schiffeuropean.com/ might also have a manual.

I also found a list of service bulletins you might want:

thanks for your comment and help. In my process of searching before
asking I found these sites and didn't get anywhere. I was hoping for
someone with a book that could provide it. I dear say it is going to
be off to the dealer (:-(.
But thank you very much for taking the time to try and help. Sorry the
thank you was a bit late I didn't think to do it as a comment today.
