Is there a player i can run on a low end Pentium 1, with 64mb RAM,
that is running XP. It runs XP fine by the way. It is a laptop. I
don't want to load some huge player like itunes, just sometine tiny,
with low disk usage and low CPU useage. low as possible anyway.

Hello Jimwest

Probably the best MP3 player out there is still WinAmp - although I
would still plump for the old version, version 3, which can be
downloaded here:

http://www.1001winampskins.com/download_winamp3.html

It is not the smallest player on the market but it has a wide range of
features and has been in development for a number of years (including
when your laptop was top of the range!). I used to use this player on
a similar specification machine.

If you are looking for the smallest footprint possible you can't do
much better than STP (SysTrayPlayer), it forgets about all the fancy
graphics and padding that most MP3 players have and just delivers your
music quickly and effectively without being too basic.

It can be downloaded here:
http://www.netean.com/stp/
http://www.webattack.com/get/stpmp3.shtml

I have also heard rave reviews of Foobar2000
(http://www.foobar2000.org/) but have not personally used it as the
above two programs have always been enough for me.

I hope you will find these suggestions of use but if not please ask
for clarification and I will get back to you. I am here to help you!

Winamp 3 is quite large and takes, in comparison, a lot of memory. I
advise the same player only version 2.x which downloadable at
www.shoutcast.com (a Winamp partner).

Foobar 2000 should work fine. Minimal RAM usage, and a deceptively
simple looking interface with much in the way of depth to it.
