Hiya
I am trying to track down the name of a software development company
in the UK. The following is the information I can provide you with:
- The company is located in Warrington , Cheshire in England.
- They specialise in RPG/AS400 type applications
- They are currently involved in doing a JDA Implementation
for what is probably a large high street retailer
The company itself is probably rather small perhaps containing 10 to 20 developers.
Please note JDA is a well known retail application which runs on an as400
platform. They company would be working on release 4R5 (of JDA).
THe above is about all I know about the company. Please note though
Warrington is not a hugh town.

Thanks for this. I will attempt to confirm that this is indeed the
company which I am seeking. However without going into details can you
tell me how you
narrowed it to this particular company. (There appears to be a lot of
software development companies in the Warrington area)

I've been able to confirm that Martin Dawes does indeed operate an
AS400 system, so they may well be your company. Perhaps palitoy-ga or
I will be able to provide additional details to confirm this. I'll
get back to you if I learn anything new on this.
In the meantime, it would be helpful to have some feedback from you on
whether you think Matin Dawes sounds like the right company.

I have called Martin Dawes Systems to try to confirm if they are the company
I am trying to identify. They have been rather vague about whether or not
they are working on a JDA Project (although they certainly have not denied it)
My calls and e-mails (to MDS) have gone unanswered.
As you are probably aware from their Web site they do not mention
either AS400 or JDA.
If you can confirm one or more JDA clients that they do development work for
( remember a JDA client will be a well known retailer) then I am happy to
close the call.
I have a contact who may be able to confirm whether or not they are
the company I am seeking.
Let me know if you do get any more concrete information.
